Kris Ray Crockett was born February 11, 1961 in Henderson, Texas and died October 31, 2024 at his home in College Station. He is survived by his wife, Janice, daughter Selina Michalak and husband Ryan, son Evan Crockett and girlfriend Sophia Strausser, and Keslar Dog. In addition he leaves behind his mother, Betty Crockett, brother Kenny Crockett and wife Becky, brother Kurtis Crockett, and sister Becky Mallory and husband Trent, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Wlliam Crockett. Kris was a member of Brazos Valley Church of Christ.
Per Kris' wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held Friday, November 15 at 10 a.m. at Hillier Funeral Home in College Station, with family visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Please dress casually because that's what Kris would have wanted. A celebration of life for Kris will be held in Waco at a later date.

Janice, the celebration in College Station was just that and very beautiful. I'm so sorry I didn't get to speak to you. Michelle sent her condolences with me. I will bring her hug if you have another gathering in Waco. I'm still stunned. I know he would loved the turnout and the reunions in his honor.

Kris and I built a close friendship over the past 6 years at HEB. He has seen me grow in many ways - personally and professionally. He was a listening ear and we would exchange countless stories and laughs together. We took this picture years ago and of course I made him put on the unicorn hat!
We counted down his retirement together and although he didnt get much time after, he talked to me about how much he was enjoying it! He spoke so highly of his family and wife, Janice. My sincere condolences.

My name is Jerry Garrido, a former co-worker of Kris´ at HEB. We were both hired in the same year and enjoyed many conversations over the years about work, family and life in general.
He was a great partner at work for the last 28 years. I feel like I´ve lost a brother.
His most important goal was to retire to take care of his wife and enjoy many years with her...although I never met his immediate family, I felt I knew so much about them because he spoke so highly of them.
Kris, you will be missed!

I was known as Rob´s little sister. I grew up going to the house in Lacy Lakeview and the guys coming to our house in Chalk Bluff. Kris and the family was always very nice and sweet. Hugs & prayers for everyone

Kris will be missed greatly! Many fond memories with Janice, Kris and the whole Crockett family since elementary school thru high school and beyond.
