Leon Pargac Obituary

Leon John Pargac Jr.

Nov 6, 1945 - Sep 13, 2025

Leon John Pargac Jr., 79, of Caldwell, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 19, at St. Mary Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Caldwell, with Father Melvin Dornak officiating. Interment will follow at Elizabeth Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell, with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m.

Leon was born on November 6, 1945, in Bellville, Texas, to Leon J. Pargac Sr. and Gardina Margaret (Wondrash) Pargac. He married the love of his life, Beverlee Ann Zgabay, on August 17, 1968.

Leon devoted 45 years to his career as a pharmacist, faithfully serving communities throughout the Brazos Valley and North Texas. Beyond his profession, he found joy in cooking, fishing, and lending a helping hand on any project his beloved Beverlee had in mind. He especially cherished his grandchildren, whose smiles and laughter brought him immense happiness and pride. His strong faith was a cornerstone of his life, shaping his character and his genuine desire to help others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beverlee, and his sister, Amelia Wearden.

Leon is survived by his daughters, Christina Pargac of Las Vegas, Nevada and Nichole Koch and husband Robert of Prosper, Texas; his brother, Tom Pargac of Dayton, Texas; his sisters, Pat Wiederhold and husband, Mike, and Margaret Tietjen, both of Bryan, Texas; grandchildren, McKenzie Koch, Justice Zmuda, and A. Zmuda; numerous other loving relatives and dear friends

He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his gentle spirit, his willingness to help others, and the countless memories shared with loved ones. Though he has left this world, his legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of St. Joseph Regional Hospital for their compassionate care of Leon.
