Lily Voelkel Obituary
Lily Korinne Voelkel of Friendswood, Texas passed away on May 14, 2012 at 2 years 11 months old. She was born in Houston, Texas to Tyson and Christi Voelkel on June 23, 2009. She was a member of Friendswood Friends Church. Lily is the inspiration for the Lily Voelkel Foundation, www.lilyvoelkel.com. Lily touched the lives of countless others through her example of unconditional love and an unyielding spirit.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546. The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2012 at Friendswood Friends Church Worship Center, 502 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546 with Rev. Glenda McDonald officiating.
Lily is survived by her loving parents; big sister, Eliana Rose Voelkel; grandparents, James and Barbara Chovanec of Brenham, Texas; grandmother, Salha Rifai Voelkel of Brenham, Texas; great-grandparents, Elward and Jeanette Schumann of Austin, Texas, and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Travis Voelkel, Jr.; maternal great-grandparents, Joe and Katherine Chovanec; and paternal great-grandparents, Travis and Evelyn Voelkel, Sr.

Such a terrible loss to this world and we cannot find the words to express our sincerest sympathy nor attempt to sooth your hurt. Lily is a beautiful angel who is now stronger than ever, running fast, playing free and singing aloud. We will pray that God give you peace and strength to go on until you meet your sweet angel again.
