Lt. Anne Beamer

January 16, 1957 - February 12, 2022

Lt. Anne Beamer, 65, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Anne Adams Huebner was born in Wharton, Texas on Wednesday, January 16, 1957, to Dr. George L. Huebner, Jr. and Patricia Todd Huebner. She was the youngest of their four children. Anne grew up in College Station. She graduated from A&M Consolidated High School, Class of 1975, and went on to earn her B.S. degree from Texas A&M.

Anne retired from law enforcement after 28 years of service to the people of Texas, having served as a member of Texas Dept. of Public Safety for 10 years and Texas A&M University Police Dept. for 18 years. She also served as the lead liaison with the U.S. Secret Service when President George H. W. Bush and other dignitaries were in town. After retirement, she served as House Manager for programs at the Rudder Theatre Complex and as Supervisor for West Campus Football Tailgating.

Anne was a loyal friend. She cherished her many friends, neighbors, and her law enforcement family. She was an animal lover. She grew up riding her horses and always had dogs she loved. Anne enjoyed woodworking and stained-glass work. She also took great pleasure in riding her Harley Davidson.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Jim Beamer. She is survived by her brother, George Huebner of College Station, her sisters, Meg Woody and husband Allen of Dallas, and Nancy Brown and husband Rob of College Station, along with six nieces and nephews and their families.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 5th at the College Station City Cemetery, 2530 Texas Avenue South. A simple reception will be held afterwards at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church parish hall, 906 George Bush Drive.

I´m so sorry to hear about Anne´s passing. She was a childhood friend that I went to school with. I grew up in the College Hills area. Will keep her family and friends in my prayers.
