Mary Culpepper Obituary

Culpepper, Mary Elizabeth "Liza"

May 8, 1997 - Jun 21, 2024

Our angel Mary Elizabeth "Liza" Culpepper joined Jesus Christ in Heaven on June 21, 2024. Liza's life was beautiful and full of joy. Although Liza could not speak, she expressed her love in her own special way. Her language was love, and it was unconditional.

Liza is survived by her loving parents, Mary and Jack Culpepper; brother and sister-in-law, John and Marissa Culpepper, and their son, James; and sister and future brother-in-law, Jacqueline Culpepper and Wyatt Pahl. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Martha Crenan; paternal grandmother, Mary Anne Culpepper; sister in Christ and closest friend, Brenda Peoples; aunts and uncles, Jim Crenan, Donna and Pat Ryan, Laura and Clay Taylor; and cousins, Heather, Amy, Will, Michael, Laura, Emily, Matthew, Kel, and Caroline.

Liza was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather John Cecil Culpepper Jr. and maternal grandfather William Crenan.

Our most sincere appreciation to the devoted physicians that assisted in Liza's care throughout her life: Dr. Kenneth Matthews, Dr. Dirk Boysen, Dr. Ron Kuppersmith, Dr. Pat Ryan and Dr. Candace Light. Our family wishes to extend our gratitude to the countless educators, counselors, bus drivers, classroom assistants and therapists of CSISD and St. Thomas E.L.C. A special thanks to Liza's loving and compassionate caregivers, Alma Garcia, Patricia Caldwell and Veronica Chavez.

Liza heard no evil, saw no evil and spoke no evil. She was the definition of pure, holy simplicity. She only knew love.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Liza Culpepper Endowment supporting programs for Life Skills and Special Needs classrooms of CSISD. You may donate online at https://givetokids.csisd.org/ and select "Donate" or make checks payable to the CSISD Education Foundation, note "Liza Culpepper" in the memo line, and mail to 1812 Welsh Ave, College Station, TX 77840.

"Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God." Matthew 5:8
