Born in Baytown, Texas to Robert and Carrie Lou Smith Pitts. Mike was the light of the family with his bright smile and outgoing personality. Mike was blessed with three wonderful children in his life Jason, Scott and Robin. These three were his world and their families became his universe. He cherished the time with his family traveling to his favorite beaches each season. The saying, "he never met a stranger", is truthful about Mike. When Mike met you, you were an instant addition to his litany of friends. Mike enjoyed his career as a Parts Service Manager with Caldwell Country for many years. He was fascinated with providing quality customer service to people who walked in to have their vehicle serviced. He was an avid sports enthusiast and a proud member of the College Station Texas Association of Sports Officials (CSTASO). Mike had such a love of outdoor sports and way of life he was often fishing, golfing, hunting, or racing in his earlier days. With all his activities he always enjoyed these moments in life with his favorite adult beverage while sharing with others. Mike was most at peace traveling to his favorite beaches and various other places for vacation with family and friends. Go and make merriment in honor of Mike at the Texas Renaissance Festival this season as he enthusiastically loved the RenFest.
Preceding Mike in death is his father whom he dearly admired Bob Pitts; and his grand parents.
Mike is survived by his children Jason and his wife Cherie Pitts, Scott and his wife Kaila Pitts, Robin Pitts and husband Ed Yeomans; his beloved, cherished friend and soul mate Tammie Burlin and her children Ross, Cassie, and Izzy; his mother Carrie Pitts; his sister Becky Erndt and husband; his brothers Richard and wife Susanne Pitts, Donald and wife Cheryl Pitts, John David and wife Jenny Pitts; his grandchildren Adrian, Jordan, Tyler, Jacelynn, Bryan, Kayleigh, and Mayci; and a host of other relatives and close friends.
Mike's family asked that your memorial gifts be given to Ducks Unlimited in Memory of Mike Pitts.
