December 23, 1932 - September 26, 2018
Patsy Lejean Price passed away September 26, 2018 at the age of 85.
Patsy was born December 23, 1932 in Franklin, Texas to Grover "Cleve" Cleveland and Mary Neoma "Oma" (Hogan) Bristow. Her father was a farmer and her mother took care of the home. Growing up as the youngest of three children, Patsy lived on a farm and had lots of animals, including her horses and donkeys. She loved them all. During high school, she loved hanging out with her friends and going to Duffy Drug Store to get a Coke. Some of these girls she spent time with continued to visit after she was married. Patsy loved music and enjoyed being in the band. After graduating from Franklin High School, she spent a year and a half studying business at Southwest Texas State.
Patsy met the love of her life, Benny Truett Price, when he came to Franklin to see friends. She was still in high school. They were married April 6, 1952 in Franklin. In their 65-year marriage, they were blessed with two children, Linda and Larry. She was completely devoted to her children and was a wonderful, extremely loving mother. Patsy loved family and holiday gatherings. She loved to cook, especially her famous pecan pies, and loved seeing her great-grandchildren.
Although most of Patsy's energy went to being an amazing homemaker for the family, she also worked as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed the work and was very good at it. Her employers loved her because she was pleasant and easy to work with.
Patsy was a very sweet person, loving and kind. She had a fun sense of humor that she shared with her family and close friends. She loved to crack jokes. Life was a blessing, and she was meant to enjoy it. Patsy was involved in women's Bible studies and vacation Bible school at church. She loved learning about the Lord and how to serve Him. Her kindness and gentleness will be her legacy.
Patsy leaves behind her husband Ben Price, her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Craig Walker, her son and daughter-in-law Larry and Maria Price, her grandchildren Bryan Walker and Amy Arredondo, her great-grandchildren Elina Arredondo, Max Arredondo, Ellie Walker, and her sister Louise Reid.
To honor Patsy's life, her family has planned a visitation to be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 with a service at 1 PM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 all at Hillier Funeral Home of College Station. Interment will follow at the Aggie Field of Honor with a reception back at Hillier Funeral Home of College Station.
