John R. Carroll, 63, of College Station, Texas, passed away July 28, 2006, after a short battle with cancer. He was born August 28, 1942 in San Antonio to Robert E. & Marguerite Carroll.
John loved his pets, working on the Internet and reading any subject. He was an accountant for the IRS.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ona Sue Carroll; 2 sons, Rob Carroll of College Station and John Carroll of Bryan; four sisters, Sue McVey of Conroe, Betty Harbour of Brownsville, Linda Lantz of College Station and Leslie Horton of Dodd City, TX; his mother, Marguerite Carroll of College Station; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was a wonderful son, brother, husband and father. We all loved him very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. John loved to be around people and could talk about anything.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Rock Prairie Baptist Church in College Station, TX. Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley and Rock Prairie Baptist Church.
