Rebecca Ann Plantt, 83, passed away Thursday, October 17 at St. Joseph Manor.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 25 at College Station Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Rebecca Ann was born March 31, 1936 in Hazel, Kentucky the daughter of John E. and Dixie (Roach) Dublin, her father was a minister in the community. Rebecca Ann graduated from S.F.A. High School in Bryan. She worked in the Research Foundation at Texas A&M University in the late 70' and took part in the Solar Panel Projects in Washington D.C. Rebecca Ann retired from Texas A&M after many years of service.
After retirement, she and Glenn enjoyed vacationing and traveling the United States. Rebecca Ann loved knitting, crocheting and fishing. She loved her horses and dogs, especially her beloved Whitey Mouse. Rebecca Ann was an active longtime member of Central Church of Christ.
Rebecca Ann is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Plantt; son, Graylan Plantt; daughter, La Shelle Garcia; and a brother, James Dublin.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jason Garcia and wife Sarah, Kaylan Plantt, Kelsey Plantt, Taylor Plantt and wife Heather; great-grandchildren, Torin, Trayner and Tyger; daughter-in-law, Barbara Plantt; son-in-law, Ricky Garcia; and cousin, Gary Smith and wife Jan.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dennie Bollinger for her work, care and dedicating she gave to Rebecca Ann.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for research.
