My Best Friend ~ Rest in Peace Bobby
Kathi Norris
January 14, 2012
Bobby was the most amazing person I have ever known. He helped hundreds, if not thousands of people struggling with addiction. He was selfless, honest, and real! We could always count on him to tell us the truth, not what we wanted to hear. He wanted to make peoples lives better and HE DID! He taught me so much about God and really living life and being of service to others. Myself and MANY others are better human beings because of him. It was a blessing to see how much he loved his little girl, Ashley, and what a wonderful father he was. He was so proud of her. She was "Daddys Little Girl". I will miss him every day for the rest of my life, but I know that he is happy and content at home with the Lord. I will always cherish the memories we shared. Peace and Love ~ Kathi

I have a memory of Bobby that has persisted for my whole life. I was about 4 years old and had climbed a tree in Bobby's yard in Houston. The tree was forked and I had slid down and jammed my foot in the fork. (Permanent-like) I was up there from early morning til late afternoon, when Bobby came home.(I never was one to yell for help.) Bobby lifted me out of that trap and he was my hero ever since. Bobby was about 15. I had a good 2 hour talk on the phone with him when I was 50 and I know from that talk that Bobby had helped many another person out of different kinds of traps. Bobby was a consistant good hearted person from boy to man. I know ya'll are proud of him and will miss him dear.

Ashlee-
Losing your dad is right up at the top of the list of things you wish you hadn't had to experience in your young life. There's no getting ready for such a difficult time in your life, a time that will on some days ask more than you think you can handle. Your friends at Harwood Junior High will be there to help you see beyond your sorrow and help you celebrate your dad's life. He loved you dearly.

To the family and friends of Robert,
I never got the pleasure to meet him but I too am a friend of Bill W's. I would like to send my deepest condolences to all the people that were touched by his service work over the last 20 years. May the love and memories keep you strong over the passing weeks and months.
