Tommy Rex Stewart Sr. of Bryan, Texas went home to our Lord and Savior peacefully in his home on Saturday December 2, 2023. He was surrounded by his wife and 4 children.

Tommy was born on August 3, 1950 to Rex and Robbie Stewart in Tyler, Texas. He was raised in Bryan after his mother's passing, by his maternal grandparents Elton and Melissa Johnson.

At the age of 18 Tommy enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He served proudly from 1968-1974. Tommy was in the Vietnam war from 1968-1970. After his tour in Vietnam he married Linda Coleman-Stewart and raised 4 children. His children remember their father's hard working values, his love for the Corp and his honorable regard for his country.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents Rex and Robbie Nell 'Stewart, his grandparents Elton and Melissa Johnson, sister Linda Hughes and granddaughter Savanah Rechelle' Ensey.

Tommy is survived by his wife Linda Coleman Stewart, his 4 children and their spouses Tasha Stewart-Byrd (Troy), Tommy (Bubba) Stewart Jr. (Jennifer), Teresa Stewart-Ensey (Luke), and Tobey Stewart. 10 Grandchildren Jeffrey (Scooter) Utz Jr. Mary Katherine (Kati) Williford, Kalyn Utz, Dakota Stewart, Destiny Ensey, Dylan Ensey, Izaiah Stewart, Nicholas Stewart, Timothy Stewart. 12 great grandchildren, sister Nancy Byers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Wednesday (12/6) at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center in Bryan. Graveside services with military honors are at 2 pm, Thursday (12/7) at the City of Bryan Cemetery. Pallbearers are Troy Byrd, Joe Peterson, Jeffrey (Scooter) Utz, Kalyn Utz, Dakota Stewart, Dylan Ensey, Kaiden Utz, Chris Coleman.
