EASLEY — Carol Rae Wislander (née Myers) of Easley passed away on May 18, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Ethel Nevada Morton (née Pruitt) and Carl R. Myers. She had one brother, Harold D. Myers, who preceded her in death.
Carol was born in Chicago, Ill., and spent the majority of her life in Chicago Heights, Ill. She is a 1956 graduate of Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights. She was retired from Sentry Insurance Company, of Chicago and Aurora, Ill., where she was a commercial lines underwriter and Ryan's Steakhouse in Easley, S.C., where she was a hostess. Her hobbies were reading Harlequin romance novels, shopping, going out to eat and watching crime dramas and westerns on television. She loved John Wayne and Elvis.
She is survived by one son, Mark Kile (Charisse) of Belleview, Fla.; one daughter, Carla Oaks of Easley; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
As per her request no memorial or funeral service is planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
The family is at their respective homes.

Enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels to you for many years . You always were very talkative and always had a smile on your face. Although I knew you were suffering, you never complained. May you enjoy well deserved peace and joy in Gods House .
