Jon Wahrer Obituary
He was born on July 23, 1940, in Celina, to "JR" Jim Gulius Ralph and Helen (Garard) Wahrer, both preceded him in death. On Sept. 22, 1962, he married Linda Jean Weiland, and she survives in St. Marys.
He is also survived by two sons, Matthew D. (Jennifer) Wahrer, of Ottawa, and Michael K. (Carey) Wahrer of St. Marys, as well as six grandchildren, Mollie, Olivia, Noah, Taylor, Landen and Korbin.
Jon was a 1958 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys he went on to attend Wittenberg University from 1958 to 1959. He received his associate's degree in accounting from International School of Business, Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1961. He worked his entire life at Goodyear Tire in St. Marys in various departments and retired from the scheduling department in 1999.
He had many hobbies but he most enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys.
Private graveside services will be held on a later date in Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Marys Public Library, 140 S. Chestnut St., St. Marys, or Wayne Street United Methodist Church, 130 N. Wayne St., St. Marys.
