Makayla Helmstetter Obituary
She was born March 22, 1994, in Lima, the daughter of Michael and Scarlett (Blair) Helmstetter.
She is survived by her parents Michael (Kathy) Helmstetter of Ozan, Arkansas and Scarlett Helmstetter of St. Marys.
She is survived by her fiancé, Scottey Luedeke of Wapakoneta; children: Amberly Helmstetter of Wapakoneta, Liliana Luedeke of Wapakoneta, Braxton Luedeke of Wapakoneta and Riley Luedeke of St. Mary; brothers Jamie (Cindy) Brown of Coldwater and Justin (Kileen Rockhold) Brown of Marysville.
She is also survived by her siblings: Jordan Helmstetter of St. Marys and Cassandra Helmstetter of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ella Blair; paternal grandfather, Robert Helmstetter and sister, Amberly Brown.
Makayla was a 2012 graduate of New Knoxville High School. She was employed at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in the outpatient department. She attended Calvary Christian Fellowship in St. Marys. She loved making crafts and dedicated her life to caring for her children. She was a loving fiancé, mother, daughter, sister and aunt who will be forever missed.
Funeral rites will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, Rev. Dane Gilmore, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. All visitors to the funeral home are required to wear a mask, in accordance with the mandates of the Ohio Department of Health.

This is Makayla and Me (Her Closest Brother) one late afternoon after getting home from school. I miss you so damn much Makayla! I have been going through a lot trying to make sense of this!!! I will probably never understand but I hope one day the Good Lord will bring some Enlightenment! Until we come to be Present in our Being by together again !

I’m so sorry for your loss..
I am at a loss for words myself.
Makayla was one of my classmates throughout elementary and middle school. I always saw so much strength, courage and admiration in Makayla. She was a great friend to me and many others. I remember playing soccer and basketball together, to playing M.A.S.H at indoor recess, to just being there for one another. Though I don’t know her family personally, I can see that she was a great mother, sister, daughter and fiancé. She has been taken from us far too soon, but God truly has gained an angel.
