Richard Rohrbaugh Obituary

Richard L. "Rick" Rohrbaugh, 61, of Wapakoneta, died at 7:17 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born on March 14, 1954, in Lima, the son of Norbert and Mary Lou (Cline) Rohrbaugh, who preceded him in death.
On May 23, 1980, he married Carrie F. Thaman, and she survives.
Other survivors include his two children Tom (Jenny) Rohrbaugh, New Hampshire and Sarah Rohrbaugh, Lima; his four grandchildren Spencer, Snook, Andrew and Natalie Rohrbaugh and Avah Brown; his stepmother Patricia Dillon Rohrbaugh, Columbus; his three sisters Deb (Bill) Montgomery, Sandusky, Sharon Wise, Findlay and Kathy Green, Columbus; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Rita (Jim) Schwieterman, John (Peg) Thaman and Ellen (Gene) Topp.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alexandra Rohrbaugh.
Rick retired as chief of police of Fort Shawnee after 22 years service.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, the Ohio Police Chiefs Association and the Fraternal Order of Police.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, studying the weather, and computers.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Ohio 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating.
The family will receive friends 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday at the funeral home, where a F.O.P. memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m.
