Frances Teague Obituary

FRANKLIN - Frances Lorraine Seay Teague, 85, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2024.
Frances was born Jan. 8, 1939, in Franklin to the late Arvey and Mary Williams Seay. She was the second youngest of 11 children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Teague; brothers, Lewis, John, Howard, Norman, Roger and Clarence "Red"; sisters, Margie Stiwinter, Doris Evitt, Ella Mae Ledford; and infant sister, Mary Burdell.
She grew up in the Mashburn Branch community and attended Wells Grove Baptist Church. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1957. On Oct. 25, 1958, she married her devoted husband, Victor Neville Teague, and they were happily married for over 60 years. They started a dairy business in the Ellijay community and continued to operate the family farm for over 40 years.
She and Vic attended Higdonville Baptist Church for many years where she served as church clerk, sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.
Frances had a strong faith in God and a loving, generous heart, which led her to serve her family, her church and her community very graciously. She was a busy homemaker, providing countless delicious home cooked meals for family and friends over the years. She was an avid gardener, famous for the beautiful canna lilies that grew around their home. In her later years, she loved spending time with family and friends around the kitchen table and on her front porch, reminiscing of God's goodness over her life.
She leaves behind her adoring family; sons, Keith (Julie) Teague and Tim Teague; daughters, Vicci (Tom) Owens and Kelli (Steve) Tippett; grandchildren, Cristin (Brad) Ratkowski, Brooke (Issac Pitts) Tippett, Savannah (Clell) Ashe, Preston Owens, Miranda (Tyler Cloer) Teague and Amy Tippett; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Palmer Ratkowski and Ivy Ashe, Beckett Cloer, Ally and Aiden Pitts; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of dear friends.
In the last year of her life, she was a resident of Carolina Reserve of Hendersonville and her family would like to express their gratitude for the care and love the staff there showed "Miss Frances". The family also appreciates the compassionate care that Frances received in the final days of her life through Four Seasons Hospice.
The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 30 at Macon Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m., in the chapel. Interment was in the Higdonville Baptist Church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Four Seasons Foundation, 211 North Main St, Hendersonville, NC 28792 or Higdonville Baptist Church, 1990 Ellijay Rd., Franklin, NC 28734.
