Howard Teem Obituary

FRANKLIN - Howard Andrew Teem, 94, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 19, 2025. His life was a testimony of his faith in God and steadfast love for Jesus.
Howard was a native of Macon County. He graduated from Franklin High School and then joined the U.S. Navy. He served honorably during the Korean conflict. He returned home to Macon County and married the love of his life, Katherine Holden Teem. They spent 69 years together as husband and wife.
In Franklin, Howard worked as an auto parts salesman for Burrell Motor Company. Then in 1971 he and his family moved to Fontana Dam where he was a water plant operator until his retirement.
Howard was known for his quiet, calm demeaner and his gentle smile that he shared with others right up to the time of his passing.
He was blessed with a beautiful bass voice and often sang in church with his wife playing the piano. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and hunting ginseng. He was a member of the Sugar Fork Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, William Harrison Teem and Lula Jane Crisp Teem; brothers, Herman, George and Earl Teem; sisters, Blanche Anderson, Ruby Atkinson and Eugenia Ashe.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine June Holden Teem; daughter, Juanita (Harold) Beasly; son, Michael (Vicki) Teem all of Robbinsville; grandchildren, Jeff Beasley, Pamela Winchester, Bethany Stalcup and Kendall Williams; great-grandchildren, Jaylon Beasley, Aubry Beasley, Zoe Beasley, Teagan Beasley, Michael Winchester, Izzy Hipps, Payton McCracken, Kelle Williams and Caden Williams; and great-great grandchildren, Atlas Beasley, Nova Beasley, Donte Badillo, Elias Badillo and Luca Badillo.
A celebration of life service was held Sunday, June 22 at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home in Franklin. Reverends Harold Beasley, Michael Teem and Payton McCracken officiated. Visitation was held from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service. Burial followed in the Sugar Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chris Williams, Jeff Beasley, Jaylon Beasley, Cainan Williams and Payton McCracken.
