Shirley Waldroop Obituary
Shirley was born in Henderson County to the late Carl and Ethel Mae McFalls Tippett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Waldroop; son, Keith Waldroop; sister, Joyce Tippett; and brother, William "Dubb" Tippett.
She was a lifetime member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She loved visits from her grandchildren and beautifying her home with plants and flowers.
She is survived by her sons, Vince (Brenda) Waldroop of Lake Orion, Michigan, and Mitch Waldroop of Franklin; grandchildren, Tabitha Beseau, Ashley Waldroop, Erin Myers, Hunter Waldroop and Miya Waldroop; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Robert) Stanley, Morris (Anne) Tippett of Franklin, Carl (Shirley) Tippett of LaPort City, Iowa, and Kenneth Tippett of North Branch, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Aug. 8, from 1-2 p.m., at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Four Seasons Hospice of Franklin.
