Dale Maas Obituary

Dale Melvin Maas, 87, of Lisbon, Iowa, passed away on December 8, 2024. Services will be held at a future date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting the family. Dale was born on March 11, 1937, in Conroy, Iowa, the son of Alfred George and Adele Louise (Duesing) Maas. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Dale attended Kirkwood Community College and Mount Mercy College both in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He had worked and retired as a customer service agent for United Airlines. Dale was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. He enjoyed a good cigar, visiting with friends and neighbors, fishing, remote-control airplanes, and working in the yard. Survivors include his children, Steven Lee Maas of Renton, WA, Michelle Renee Snyder of Sturgis, KY, and Darin Keith Maas of Lisbon, IA; grandchildren, Mikala Maas, Michael Maas, Kara Maas, Cory Maas, Billy Gori, Haley Cranz, and Clint Snyder; great-grandchildren, Karina Maas, Addison Cranz, Ava Cranz, Nolan Snyder, Elijah Snyder; and sister, Elda D. Joyner. Preceding him in death were his parents, Adele and Alfred Maas, and his son Kenneth Dale Maas. Online condolences are welcome at www.cedarmemorial.com under obituaries.

So sorry to read about Dale. I was one of his nurses and really loved that guy! He was funny and I loved sitting with him at supper. What a dessert lover! I will miss him!
