Daniel Drake Obituary

DANIEL L. DRAKE Hopkinton Daniel L. Drake, 64, of Hopkinton, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at his home. His family has chosen to honor his wishes with no services. Daniel Lee Drake was born Nov. 22, 1957, to Darrel and Frances (Schakelford) Drake in Algona, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Lana Phillips on March 3, 1976, in Manchester, Iowa. He was self-employed as a handyman. His interest was spending time with his family, gardening, astrology, woodworking and outdoors. Daniel is survived by his wife, Lana (Phillips) Drake; children, Benjamin (Christie) Drake and Danielle Drake; grandchildren, Aveeon, Aaron and Natalie Drake; mother, Fran Drake of Indianola; brothers, Jeff (Anita) of Radcliffe Alex (Kellie) of Chariton, Greg (Anna) of Columbia, Mo., and Paul (JoAnn) of Ankeny; and brothers-in-law, Leighton Jr. (Gerrie) of Prescott, Ariz., and Dwight Phillips of Manchester. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrel Drake; and father- and mother-in-law, Leighton Sr. and Betty Phillips.
