I had the pleasure of working with John at Xerox in the 70’s. He was a true professional, always willing to help others, and always had a smile.

Ed and I both worked with John at Xerox in the late 1970-1980s. I was first his sales secretary then became a sales representative with his guidance. He was always so very kind to me and such a gentleman. He always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye as he’d share something funny. We extend our sympathies to his family and know they will always keep him dear in their hearts as we also do.

My sympathies to the Herder family. I remember all the times you came to Graceville when your kids were young and always stopped at the farm (Donley & Jean Pansch) to see us. Especially remember the boys trying to teach Julie and I how water ski when you were in Graceville for the centennial in 1978! Never did get up to ski that day but had lots of fun! Dad eventually taught us to ski.

Vivian and family, I was so sorry to read of John´s death. I have so many memories of the Friday night golf, the fishing trips and all the other activities he shared with Tom and the other "boys". John was a great guy, and you all will have many memories to share in the days to come. I believe Tom and the other guys were there to greet him as he passed thru those pearly with golf clubs and fishing pole in their hands. John was a great friend and he will certainly be missed.

John was our brother-in-law and he was one of the kindest men we knew. . He was very laid back and always a joy to be around. He will be missed but always in our hearts. We love the Herder family and are holding you up in prayer. Praying for God’s comfort and strength for all of you.
