Joseph Martin McAllister Jr.

Joseph McAllister Obituary

Joseph Martin McAllister Jr. passed away at the age of 95 on Oct. 13, 2023. He was born in Cascade, Iowa, in 1928. A Korean War veteran, Joe served aboard the USS DeHaven and the USS Chandler from April 1952 to Dec. 1955. He retired from Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids in 1991 after 32 years. Joe is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret McAllister; children, Timothy, Denis (Peggy), Kelly and Staci, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, eight sisters, six brothers and one grandson. Interment will be at the Sarasota National Cemetery (TBD). Updates can be found on the Robert Toale & Sons website.
