I just learned of Larry's passing tonight at George's. This saddens me greatly. The time spent talking with he and Mary Ellen will always be cherished. Such nice, down to earth, Iowa City natives. We bonded over our shared love of Cardinals baseball, and the game of baseball in general. Bless his memory. Bless his soul. He will be missed greatly.

I was sorry to hear that Larry Rogers passed away recently. Larry was a year behind me in high school, and we were friends then, and remained friends for many years. We lived together in Jim Burke's house on Louise Street in southeast Iowa City when I was working at the University. Later he worked with me at the Physical Plant (now Facilities Services). We lost touch after I retired, but I always have considered him a friend.
My sympathies to Mary Ellen, Jason and Angela, as well as the rest of the family.
