Mary Broghammer Obituary

Mary Ann Broghammer, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024. She was born in Waterloo, Iowa to loving parents, Lavern and Dorothy Vollenweider. A private family service will be held at a later date. She will be cherished in memory by her children: Josh (Carrie) Broghammer of Fairway, Kansas; Anne (Nick) Ironside of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; John (Jamie) Broghammer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She loved her grandchildren: Jack, Max, and Quinn Broghammer; Brogan, Gavin, and Nora Ironside. Mary is survived by her loving siblings: Annette Rink, Tom (Donna) Vollenweider, and Beth (Mark) Leos, and many cousins, including her closest cousin, Marge Everett. Mary enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, gardening, crafting, and the serenity of Florida beaches. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's honor to the non-profit organization, Matthew 25 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at Matthew-25.org. I was heartbroken to hear of Mary´s passing, we were very close at Quaker, I will miss Her very deeply.
