Randall Scott "Randy" Mahring

RANDALL "RANDY" SCOTT MAHRING Peoria Heights, Ill. Randall "Randy" Scott Mahring Sr., 69, of Peoria Heights, Ill., passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, in Orlando, Fla. He was born Sept. 25, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Jerry and Judy (Harrison) Mahring. He married Mary Pinkham in 1978, and then later married Wanda Barber in 2001. Randy then married Wei "Amy" Zhihua on June 4, 2020, in Peoria. She survives him; also surviving are two sons, Scott (Makenzie) Mahring Jr. of Washington and Jeremy Mahring of Creve Coeur; four grandchildren, Nash, Cruz, Bryn and Maev; and three siblings, Chris (Barb) Mahring of Kansas City, Becky (Tom) Barker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Urscia Mahring of Alexandria, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents. Randy worked as a Sales Rep with Altorfer Inc. for over 20 years. During his youth Randy raced Motocross in Iowa and then later began his racing career on the dirt tracks of Peoria Speedway and surrounding area tracks. Randy won several State and National Championship Titles throughout his career and was inducted into the Peoria Old Timers Racing Club Hall Fame in 2018. After finishing his racing career Randy found a new passion in golf and competed in and won several area Tournaments and leagues.
