Richard Luckstead Obituary

RICHARD "LUCKY" LUCKSTEAD Olin Richard "Lucky" Luckstead, 83, of Olin, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, in Mechanicsville. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Olin American Legion. Burial will be held at the Olin Cemetery. Lahey and Dawson Funeral Services is caring for the family at this time. Richard was born June 5, 1935, to Henry and Loretta Luckstead in Olin, Iowa. On July 6, 1957, he married Norma Wagner in Stanwood. He worked at Levsen Trucking, Moormans of Stanwood and for the city of Olin. He was part of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his children, Cindy Jean (Timothy) Holmes of Olin and Kim (Kasey) Brecht of Olin; four grandchildren, Matt Holmes, Travis (Nicole) Holmes, Zach (Katie Miller) Brecht and Emily (Nick Vacek) Brecht; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Ellie, Archer and Josie. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; three sisters; and two infant brothers. Memorials may be directed to the family in his honor.
