Roy Troxel Obituary

ROY A. TROXEL Shellsburg Roy A. Troxel, 62, of Shellsburg, passed away at the UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial-Westside Chapel on Tuesday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. until service time at noon with the Certified Celebrant, Dr. James Coyle officiating. Interment will be offered at the Bear Creek Cemetery in Brandon, Iowa. Roy was born on Feb. 5, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The son of the late Clifford and Ann (Frondle) Troxel. Roy loved his family and the time he got to spend with them, and he also loved his truck. Those left to cherish Roy's memories are his siblings, Joyce (Delbert) King, of Marengo, Iowa, and John (Billi) Troxel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and many nieces, and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dale Gorsh; sister, Donna Gorsh; two nephews, Lantz and Robert; and his sister-in-law, Nancy. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at St. Luke's Hospital for all the love and support, they showed Roy while he was in their care.
