STEVE W. BROCK Cedar Rapids Steve W. Brock, 75, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at his home. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Per Steve's wishes, his cremains will be scattered at sea. Steve was born Jan. 29, 1946, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Harley W. and Beulah Mae (Wilson) Brock. After high school Steve went to Iowa State University and received his B.S. in biology. On Aug. 20, 1966, he was united in marriage to Sandra Johnson in Washington, Iowa. Steve retired from the U.S. Navy after 25 years of honorable service. He was a member of VFW Post 788 in Cedar Rapids. Steve volunteered at the VA Hospital in Iowa City. He loved golfing and fishing. Survivors include his children, Dawn Brock and Daniel Brock (Kristin Johnson); three grandchildren; and his dog, Katie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Brock; parents, Harley and Beulah Mae Brock; sister, Pat Ramsey; and brother-in-law, Harold Ramsey.
