Virginia Glick Obituary

VIRGINIA MAE GLICK Anamosa Virginia Mae Glick, 90, of Anamosa, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will be at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 1 to 4 p,m. on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Anamosa, Iowa. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website under the obituary for Virginia Mae Glick, under the video tab starting at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021. Virginia Mae Glick was born on March 13, 1931, to Ray and Iva (Miller) Morning in Olin, Iowa. She graduated from Olin High School and married James H. Glick in 1949. Virginia worked for over 50 years at the Anamosa Hospital later Jones County Regional Medical Center. Virginia loved her horses, especially her pony Dynamite. She volunteered all throughout her life, from the campfire guide to popping corn at Jones County Regional Medical Center. Her wit and humor will be missed by all her family and friends. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Glick and Cynthia (David) Hauk; a sister, Catherine Thomsen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; sister, Ann; and a brother, Kenneth. Memorials may be directed to the family.
