Janet Sue McGrail Wright Hart Long Weed

Evansville, Ind. - Janet Sue McGrail Wright Hart Long Weed, 82, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Golden Living Center-Brentwood.

Janet was born in Henderson County, Kentucky on February 28, 1939 to the late James Robert McGrail and Sue Frances (Clark) McGrail-Bowen. Janet grew up in Baskett Kentucky and helped in the family store. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1958. Janet worked in the medical field and retired as a QMA at the Evansville State Hospital. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Janet liked painting, sewing, and quilting but her passion and enjoyment came from researching genealogy and her family's ancestors.

Janet is survived by her children, Laura L. Braddam of Zephyrhills, FL, Jimmi J. Jones (William Bishop) of Evansville, IN, Robert J. Hart of Salt Lake City, UT, Richard L. Hart (Tamara) of New Port Richey, FL and Jeremy P. Hart of Dunedin, FL; sister, Jimmie Diehl (William) of Newburgh, IN; sister-in-law, Gail McGrail of Baskett, KY; grandchildren, Jessica Braddam of Zephyrhills, FL, Melissa Martin (Josh) of Land O'Lakes, FL, Jacob Braddam of Zephyrhills, FL, Paula Goodridge (Casey Evans) of Bailey, CO, Jason Goodridge of Salt Lake City, UT, Ryan Jones (Erica) of Bloomington, IN, Josh Hart (Elizabeth Breedlove) of New Port Richey, FL, Tiffany Gilley of Cleveland, TN, Timothy Hart of Evansville, IN, Farrah Jones of Evansville, IN, Angelina Jones of Evansville, IN, Alexander Sears of Zephyhills, FL, and Bethany Sears of Zephyrhills, FL; step-grandchild, Chase Bishop of Evansville, IN great grandchildren, Carson Seals of California, Emma Braddam of Florida, Piper Martin of Florida, Ethan Garcis-Hart of Tennessee, Annaleigh Gilley of Tennessee, Madison Gilley of Tennessee, David Haire-Hart of Indiana, Jaxson Todd-Hart of Indiana, Nathaniel Brothers of Indiana, Logan Raymer of Louisiana, Haylee Raymer of Louisiana, Alex Dunn of Texas, Amber Goodridge of Utah, James Goodridge of Utah, and Tony Goodridge of Utah; nephews, James Wade McGrail, Jr. of Baskett, KY and Michael S. McGrail (Laura) of Henderson, KY; niece, Tracie Anderson (Donny) of Indianapolis, IN; several great nieces and nephews; and extended family members, Jodi Coyne Gulley (Brad) of Colorado, Shane Coyne of Colorado, and Tammi Coyne Jones (Jason) of Colorado.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her step-father, Herb Bowen; daughter, Lisa S. Coyne; an infant sister, Judith Bowen; her brother, James Wade McGrail, Sr.; and two grandchildren, Jennifer Raymer and Kris Coyne.

A celebration of Janet's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Jim Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow at Baskett Cemetery in Baskett, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 8:30 until service time on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Browning Funeral Home.
