AMANDA HOLMES Obituary

AMANDA HOLMES Amanda C. Holmes 38, of Grafton Massachusetts, passed away on May 15th at Sunrise hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. She is survived by her son Nolan Mewhiney, his father Joseph Mewhiney, her parents Stephen and Doreen Holmes of Grafton, her brother Stephen Holmes II of Tacoma Washington and a half sister Jennifer Holmes, a nephew Andrew Senatore and a niece Alana Loyko, all of Dennisport Massachusetts, Her Uncle David and Aunt Karen Sevigny, Uncle Danny and Aunt Mary Sevigny, all of Fitchburg, her Aunt Vivian Holmes of Buckfield, ME. She is pre-deceased by her grandparents Robert and Florence Holmes of Auburn, and Normand and Flora Sevigny of Fitchburg, as well as by her beloved Aunt, Donna Sevigny who passed away last year. She will be missed by cousins Taylor, Sam, and Corey. Amanda was born in Grafton on August 20, 1984. Amanda graduated from Grafton High School in 2002. After high school Amanda lived at her family vacation home on Cape Cod for 6 months. Amanda's life was filled with various activities and passions, from field hockey and skiing during her high school days to pursuing studies in English at Quinsigamond Community College and Worcester State University. Amanda was a free spirit and strong willed at times, had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She had a creative side, spending much of her time writing stories, books, and a life journal. As a child, Amanda showed great sensitivity and kindness to others, and she and her brother had a tight-knit group of childhood friends with whom she spent many outdoor adventures. Her love for jujitsu, skiing, gardening, horticulture, astrology, and writing showcased her diverse interests and adventurous spirit. She also cherished hikes that she would take with her son Nolan. Amanda had many friends who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Amanda Holmes Trust Fund in care of Nolan Mewhiney. Our sincere condolences to Amanda´s entire family. One memory I have of Amanda is her
working with the bees in her yard. She loves doing that.
She was a delightful young woman and neighbor for many years who will be missed dearly by her community, her family and her son, Nolan.
