Rachel Schell Obituary

Rachel Elisabeth Schell, 17, forever in our hearts, left her earthly home suddenly on July 3, 2023.
Born in Dothan, Alabama in 2005, Rachel and her family moved from Ariton to Montgomery in 2014, where she graduated from Hooper Academy in May of 2023. Rachel was accepted into the University of Alabama and was looking forward to rushing a sorority and joining her older sister in Tuscaloosa so she could be a member of the University's Class of 2027.
Rachel was beautiful on the outside, but her true beauty was reflected in her soul. She had an amazing presence and was a loving, devoted, and loyal daughter, sister and friend. Her work family at Wynlakes Tennis Shop knew that they were well loved when she showed up because of the way her smile always brightened their day.
Rachel will be greatly missed by her parents, Joe and Traci; sisters, Parker and Audrey; grandparents, Frank and Janet Schell and Wallace and Judy Bludsworth; aunt and uncle, Todd and Angie Heath; as well as numerous extended family members and friends. Rachel was preceded in death by her aunts and uncles, Charly and Kelli Schell and Eddie and Betsy Johnson.
A service was held on her birthday, Saturday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 2416 West Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, Alabama.
In lieu of memorial gifts, the family requests that, in Rachel's honor, you go out of your way to be nicer to people.
