Vicki Cleveland Morgan

Vicki Cleveland Morgan, 74, of Royston, Ga., spouse of Roy A. Morgan, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Born on July 5, 1948, in Anderson, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Fred Max Cleveland and Edna Nixon Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Max Cleveland. Mrs. Morgan was the Class Valedictorian for the Hart County High School Class of 1966. She received the B.S.Ed. from Georgia Southern University and the M.Ed. and Ed.S. from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Morgan was a retired Special Education Teacher at the Elementary School level, teaching in Telfair, Hart, and Barrow Counties. She was also a former Pink Lady for the Ty Cobb Health Care System, and a member of the Hartwell First Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Church Sunday School Class.
She and Mr. Morgan have two daughters Rebecca (Brent) Mize and Tara (Skip) Bond. They also have five grandchildren: Wyatt Andrew Mize, Kassidy Morgan Mize, Piper Cleveland Bond, Miles Gray Bond, and Charlie Rory Bond.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 2 until 3 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.
A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Vicki Morgan's life will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 1, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Jody Wynn officiating. Her ashes will be interred following a brief graveside service at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 1, in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Bowman, Ga.
