Died: Nov. 30, 2015
Alberta Green, the daughter of the late Milton and Hettie Walker, was born May 26, 1915 in Preston, Arkansas, the 9th of 10 children. She was called home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2015.
God blessed her to celebrate her 100th birthday in May. She settled in Joliet, IL in early 1950 where she was an active member of the community and a faithful member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She resided in Joliet for 20 years before returning to Arkansas in 1972.
She is preceded in death by her devoted niece "daughter", Marzella Turner; parents and siblings.
She leaves to mourn her passing, 2 nephews; 4 nieces; "grandchildren", Oscar Edmon and Janice Edmon of Conway, AR and David B. (Wanda) Turner of Plainfield, IL; "son-in-law" David E. Turner of Crest Hill, IL; a host of great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 in Conway, Arkansas.

I've been trying to get in touch with her for a long time. Lost contact with Alberta and family. She was an angel on Earth! My heart goes out to you all. I loved her dearly as she was like my second mother. So sorry to hear this news. Blessings to you all.

Ms. Alberta will be greatly missed. I helped take care of her sister, Ruby during the last two years of her life, and then I helped Ms. Alberta after that and the last year of her life. I treated her and Ms. Ruby like they were my own family. Ms. Alberta told a lot of stories and she taught me to cook some pretty good food. I'll remember her until the day God takes me too. I love you Ms. Alberta. My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family and friends. Sincerely, Naomi Wyllia
