Alexander Mazur Obituary

Age 84, late of Joliet and formerly of Chicago, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. A U.S. Army Veteran, he served in Germany during WWII. Member of the Holy Name Society of Five Holy Martyrs Catholic Church in Chicago. Member of the Catholic War Veterans. He retired from Bradfoote Gear of Cicero after many years of service.

Survived by his daughter, Cynthia (John) Miciunas; one grandson, Michael; one sister, Lorraine (late Bill) Vashinko, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife, Jean (nee Niedzwiecki); parents, Stanley and Tekla (nee Partacz) Mazur; two sisters, Barbara (Al) Demski and Pat Anderson; and three brothers, Joseph (Celia), Edward and Elmer (JoAnn) Mazur.

Funeral Services for Alexander J. Mazur will be Friday, September 14, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Jude Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. Visitation Thursday 2-9 p.m. at:
