Ann Zigrossi Obituary

Ann Marie Zigrossi
Born: January 27, 1964 in Joliet
Died: October 15, 2025 in Joliet
Ann Marie Zigrossi
Age 61, formerly of Joliet, IL, and most recently of Diamond, IL
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Lightways Hospice, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer.
Born on January 27, 1964, Ann was the cherished daughter of Robert J. and Bernice (née Gregorich) Jeriha. She attended St. Mary Nativity Catholic School and St. Francis Academy in Joliet.
On April 13, 1985, Ann married Terry Zigrossi at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church. Together, they built a life in the Joliet area, raising their family with love and devotion. Ann was employed at J.C. Penney's-where she met Terry-Sharp Electronics, Heartland Cardiology, and later served as a Clerk at the Joliet Police Department.
Ann found joy in raising her two daughters, decorating her home inside and out, and spending time with lifelong friends and cousins. She pursued many hobbies over the years but was especially known for her unique and artistic book folding creations.
Her greatest joy was her grandson, Logan. A devoted Catholic, Ann prayed the Rosary daily and held a deep faith in God. Above all, she cherished her family and was deeply loved by all who knew her.
Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, Terry Zigrossi; devoted daughters, Kayla (Matthew) Melvin and Megan Zigrossi (Mark Seranella); cherished grandchildren, Logan Seranella and Kaden Melvin; brother, Robert (Ann) Jeriha, Jr.; sister, MaryEllen (Dave) Harris; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bernice Jeriha; her in-laws, Nick and Kay (Hoffman) Zigrossi; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins-especially Mary Valek, with whom Ann shared a special bond.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 8:00 p.m. at Blackburn Giegerich Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Road, Joliet, IL.
