Bernice "Bea" Nemanich
Born: January 23, 1934
Died: December 25, 2021
Bernice "Bea" M. Nemanich, resident of the Parc in Joliet, passed away at the age of 87 on Saturday, December 25, 2021.
Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Christine (nee Vranicar) Nemanich; sister Frances Stephen) Sefcik; and brothers, Frank Nemanich and Robert Nemanich.
Survived by her nieces and nephews Lynnette (Stephen) Reichel, Mark (Kimberly) Sefcik, Anne, Michael Nemanich, Karen (Jeffrey) Huston and Leah Nemanich; great-nephews, Stephen, Aaron, Bryan, Corey, Jordan and Ryan; dear friend, Judy Nagra; her daughter Jamie Nagra and Gina Nagra (god daughter), Joyce Lockwood, Dee McDaniel and Nancy Sraj and numerous cousins and friends.
Bea worked for the Cass Currency Exchange for over 50 years. She was also employed by Federal Armor Car Company. Bea graduated from St. Joseph Grade School and St. Francis Academy in 1952. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet and attended 4:00 mass regularly. Bea was a member of the Slovenian Union of America Branch 20 and the AFU #66.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernice's name to St. Joseph's Church in Joliet would be appreciated.
A celebration of Bea's life will begin on Thursday, December 30, 2021 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
