To the Kollross family please accept my sincere condolences. Find comfort in knowing Chuck was a very unselfish, and decent man.
Chuck and his sons volunteered in the development the first colt league baseball field in New Lenox. Many hours of of hard work went into the project. It was my privilege knowing and working with them.
The field should have been appropriately named "Kollross Field".
Rest in peace old friend.

My sincere condolences to the family. I was fortunate to have him as a teacher at Gompers Jr High and had the privilege to work with him as well.
He was a gentle giant to all of his students, very dedicated to everyone around him. Thank you for your unconditional support, for pushing all of us to become better human beings. May you rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss. He was my Football Coach at Gompers in the late 60's. Great man! Tough but, kind and concerned. Always respected him.

I worked with Chuck at Lake Ridge Schools. He was very dedicated to the kids and the quality of education they received, not only at LRS but everywhere. I loved his smile and generosity. He was very proud of his family and talked often about them. Even after leaving LRS, I have thought about him and the difference he has made, not only in my life (encouraging) but in all those around him. I am sending my thoughts & prayers to his family as you mourn, but also celebrate his life and share memories together!
