Charlotte Craughwell Obituary

Charlotte E. Craughwell (nee Chambers) Passed away peacefully, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Saturday, September 4, 2010. Age 98 years. Survived by her son-in-law Tom Nasenbeny of Joliet, her grandson Dan (Julie) Nasenbeny of Plainfield and two great-grandchildren Nick and Madison Nasenbeny. Preceded in death by her husband John Craughwell (1996) and her daughter JoAnn Nasenbeny (Feb. 1988). Charlotte was born in Gibson City, Il., on July 26, 1912. She retired from J.C. Penny in 1977. Member of Crossroads Christian Church and Joliet Woman's Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing in her spare time. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Thursday, September 9 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Matt Summers officiating. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Memorials to Crossroads Christian Church will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
