Born: February 4, 1945 in Hammond, IN
Died: July 7, 2021 in Joliet, IL
D. "Sue" Pollard – passed away at Alden Courts of Shorewood, Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Age 76 years.
Survived by her daughter Lisa (Robert) Burroughs, her son John (Marie) Pollard, grandchildren Courtney (Sam), Danny, Madison, Emily and Robert Jr. (Amber Redmond), great-grandchildren Yara, Yazan and Yasmeen and one sister Debbie Schwalbe and two brothers, Robert (Patricia) Cox and Dennis (Judy) Cox; Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Sue was a member of Cherry Hill Church of Christ for 50 years. She loved everyone she met, and was a grandma to many. She was very particular about her hair and loved wearing jewelry. Sue was a self-employed cosmetologist for over 50 years. She will be remembered by many for her baking creation "Pineapple Rounds".
Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bobbie Pollard and her parents Edward and Athleen Cox.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cherry Hill Church of Christ, 2749 Lancaster Drive, Joliet, IL., Saturday, July 31st, at 3:00 P.M. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory.
