Daisy Lee Carter (nee Brass), passed away suddenly at her home, October 17, 2017. Age 81.

Survived by her loving husband, Raymond Carter; her five children, Greg (Lisa) Brown, Joseph (Janice) Brown, Al Brown, Cheryl (Darryl) Brewster and Lisa (Robert) Franklin; siblings, Leon (Stella) Brass, Herman Brass and Lillie Baptist; her beloved grandchildren, Kaleena, Alexandria and Jordan Brown, Niyata and Ashunta Warren, Brianna Knight, Gerrod and Germar Fox, Ashaunta Spencer, Eric Brown, Sideria and Erica Ware, Anton and Tristan Franklin; 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Callie Brass. Her first husband, Eddie Brown Sr.; second husband, William Culpepper; her son, Eddie brown Jr.; and her two brothers, William and Nathaniel Brass.

Daisy was a union steward at Eco Lab and retired from there after 30 years. She was a faithful member of her church, Monument of Faith Evangelistic for over 35 years. Daisy was a loving and caring woman who not only took care of her own family, but also took in children in need, into her home and raised them as her own. She will be remembered for her humor and her love of shopping. Her flashy and flamboyant ways will be missed by all who loved her.

Lying in state at the Monument of Faith Evangelistic 825 Spencer Road, Friday, October 27th at 10:00 A.M until time of services at 11:00 A.M. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road.
