Darioush Ehteshami-Afshar Obituary

Ehteshami-Afshar, Darioush "Dar" Of Minooka, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. Born in Tehran, Iran on April 22, 1944 the son of the late Mohammad Reza Ehteshami-Afshar and Irandohkt Ghadiri; Loving husband of Kristin (nee Sauter); Adored father of Jessamyn and Rosalynn Ehteshami-Afshar; Cherished brother of Mehrdad (Nasrin) Ehteshami-Afshar, Vida (Nasser) Shahbal, Mitra (Amir) Nikkhah Bahrami, Mina (Paul) Van den Berg, Shalah (Ahmad) Yarachi and Mastaneh (Fariss) Kia Kojouri; Precious uncle of Bardia and Sepanta Ehteshami-Afshar, Samila Ameli and Bobak Shahbal, Tarlan Baderkhani and Mahkameh Amani, Kassandan Van den Berg and Estatira Priem Van den Berg, Mahbod Yarachi and Mahvand Zegordi, Parmiss and Parmida Kia Kojouri. "Dar" had an appreciation for the outdoors, he enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, road trips, sporting events and was a master collector of antiques. "Dar will be remembered for his gentle and kind spirit." A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Minooka United Methodist Church, located at 205 W.
