David M. Wright, born on October 23, 1969 in Elgin, IL, passed away on August 14, 2025 at his residence in South Beloit, Illinois. David was known for his funny demeanor, which brought joy and laughter to those around him. His dedicated work ethic was evident in his role as an Overhaul and Repair Tech in the airplane manufacturing industry, a profession he valued and committed to with great passion.
David was a supportive and loving husband to his wife, Michelle Wright, whom he married on August 7, 1993. As a loving father, David's dedication extended beyond his work and into his family life. His children, Kyle, Stephanie, and Joshua Wright, were his pride and joy. David's hobbies, including riding his Harley, fishing, and hunting, were often family activities that allowed him to spend quality time with his loved ones. Previous to South Beloit, David had resided in Streamwood, IL.
David is also survived by his brother Tim Wright and sister-in-law Becky Wright. He is preceded in death by his parents, Spencer and Mardelle Wright, and his brother James Wright. These relationships shaped David into the man he was, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in McCorkle Funeral Home - Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 21, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Amanda Dahlseng-Monroe of Grace Lutheran Church officiating at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pinnacle Hill Cemetery.
