Delores Wilson (nee Kotowicz) passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with an inoperable brain tumor. She is survived by her husband Duane Wilson, daughter Lori Nagel (nee Wilson), son David Wilson, son Michael (Christy) Wilson, brother Thomas (Beverly) Kotowicz, grandchildren (Jenna Gazdowicz , Liam Wilson, Caden Wilson), and nephew/niece John Kotowicz / Laura Kotowicz.
Delores Kotowicz and Duane Wilson were high school sweethearts, that met by chance at a party. Both were Lockport Township High School graduates (class of 1969). They married in 1972, raised three children, and held strong through life's pleasures and difficulties.
Dee embraced all family gatherings, relished preparing family recipes for the holidays, and was artistically creative with crafts. Dee was a tremendous fan of the Beatles as a teenager, but later became a fan of superstars like Alan Jackson. Dee's favorite past time was playing the slots and was a frequent winner at various regional casinos. For the last 20 years, Dee enjoyed a rich life of traveling, sightseeing, and visiting relatives throughout Wyoming and South Dakota. On one occasion at a casino in a Deadwood, South Dakota, she found herself talking to, and playing slots alongside, actor John Voight as if stardom meant nothing. She embraced everyone equally, enjoyed the variety of life and humbly accepted all opportunities it offered.

I have some wonderful memories from our high school days. We hung out together, played tennis matches together(even won a few trophies, lol), talked on the phone for hours when our kids were little, comparing notes. I´m so sorry I wasn´t more persistent in trying to visit near the end. I have a great picture of her and I leaning against the side of her brother´s car that she used to drive while he was in the service. I will treasure it. That was also the first time she and I ever changed a tire. May God be with you all in your time of sorrow. God bless you, Duane, Lori, David, and Michael.

Duane loving thoughts go out to you and your family. Dee and I were best friends in grade school and especially through high school. Although we lost touch after high school due to jobs, marriage and family, I will always hold a special memory of her and the friendship we shared. May you find peace and comfort in the arms of our Lord.

I am so sorry for your loss. I send heartfelt condolences. I fondly remember Dee from band - marching, pep, concert. Dee was quiet but a wonderful girl with a kind heart. I am so saddened by her passing. I'm so sorry.

On behalf of Dee's old Saint Joseph Grade School and Lockport High School classmates, I send our deepest condolences to Duaine and their entire family on the passing of this special lady! Dee and I go all the way back to kindergarten. She was so loved by everyone of our classmates. My heart has a emptiness knowing she will no longer be here. May her soul and all the souls of the faithfull departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen. With all our love, we are, Dee's classmates and friends!
