Diana L. Kneip (nee Lewis)
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025 surrounded by her family at the age of 77 years.
Born in Joliet, IL the daughter of the late LeRoy and Viva Lewis.
Loving and Devoted Wife of 25 wonderful years to Lynwood Kneip; Adored Mother of Jennifer (Kevin) Sing and Nicole (James) Rohr; Proud Nana and Grandma to Alexander and the late Zachary Sing and Jayden and Brendan Rohr; Dear Step Mother of Katherine (Curtis) Carey and Karen (Chatwell) Jones; Step-Grandmother of Joshua Carey and Bo Jones; Dear Sister of Bonita (the late Butch) Chellino; Fond Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Zachary; sister, Sandra Mizicko, brother, Bill Lewis, brothers in law, Jack Mizicko, Butch Chellino and sister in law, Diane Lewis.
Through Diana a little more light and a little more truth came into this world. She passed through this life sharing her kindness, peace and goodness to those whose life she touched. If there was something that you needed and she had it, it was yours. A true conversationalist, she loved to chit chat and at the same time she had a listening ear. She enjoyed reading, watching the Lifetime Channel and baking cookies with her grandchildren. She had the knack for staying connected and enjoyed her monthly "Thursdays at Cemeno's" in Joliet with her high school friends. Diana also loved Country Western Dancing with Lynwood. She was a receptionist with Humana Health Insurance Company for many years until retirement and also worked at the Empress Casino, Joliet.
A Memorial Gathering for Diana L. Kneip will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 12:00 PM until Prayer Service begins at 2:00 PM. at The Maple Funeral Home located at 24300 S. Ford Rd, Channahon. I am so terribly sorry to hear about Diana. We went to high school together and for many years I was able to see her at the monthly lunch gatherings at Cemeno's. She was always so caring and concerned about all of her friends. We've prayed for each other so many times over the past years. She will be missed by so many.
