Age 96, late of Plainfield passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Born in Chicago and was a longtime resident of Lockport. Employed by Scott Incorporated for five dedicated years. Member of St. Joseph Church, Lockport. Dolly loved watching game shows, enjoyed crossword puzzles, BINGO, and cherished spending time with her beloved family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Richard Janasik (1997); two sons, Alan Janasik (2016) and Kenneth Janasik (2020); her parents, Stephen and Irene (Nee Butler) Malik; a brother, Robert Malik, and special aunt, Sylvia Doncer.
Survived by her devoted daughter-in-law, Susan (Nee Rutz) Janasik; three adored grandchildren, Steve and Phil Janasik, and Lisa Janasik; sister-in-law, Marlene (late Bob) Malik; and several nephews. The Janasik family would like to thank Willow Falls in Crest Hill, Heritage Woods in Plainfield, all of her caretakers and friends for their exceptional care and compassion shown over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorials to TLC Animal Shelter in Dolly's name would be greatly appreciated.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 9:00am until time of Funeral Service at 10:00am. Interment following services at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Justice, IL.
