Donna Sheridan Obituary

Donna M. Sheridan Donna M. Sheridan, age 81. Our beautiful, humble, loving servant of the Lord went to her Heavenly home on February 13, 2014. In our profound sorrow, we have peace and joy knowing that she is in indescribable glory in Heaven, and we also have the comfort of knowing we will be reunited. She was as beloved in Arizona as she was in Illinois, and she was known as "Mom" to all. Her legacy was one of doing what Jesus would do, and praying daily for her daughters, grandsons, and family and friends. She was the most incredible mother a child could ever ask for. Born in Ottawa, IL, lifelong resident of Shorewood, IL, Donna resided in Arizona the past 5 1/2 years. Donna received her RN from Silver Cross Hospital School of Nursing, and retired from Provena St. Joseph 's Medical Center in 1993. Member of Mountain Valley Church (Scottsdale, AZ); past member of Messiah Lutheran Church (Joliet, IL). Our beloved Donna is survived by her daughters, Diane Sheridan McLelland and Patricia Sheridan; two grandsons, Kerry and Colin McLelland, all of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Norma J. Purcell, Phoenix, AZ and Lois A. Richards of Aurora, IL. Also survived by John (Jack) and LaVonne Sheridan of Channahon, IL; nephews, Michael (Coz) and Jorja Sheridan, Thomas (Cheryl) Sheridan; niece, Joanne (James) Culp, and families. Preceded in death by her husband, Kerry R. Sheridan; parents, Emil and Lacy Frederking; and brother, Lloyd Frederking. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be sent in her memory to: Mountain Valley Church (Scottsdale, AZ), or Home "Fur" Good Animal Rescue (Phoenix, AZ). A true servant of God, Donna was an inspiration to all that met her - as we often said, "To know her was to love her." We are certain that she heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." We are so grateful that our parents are awaiting our celestial arrival one day, and the broken chain will again be complete. Together forever! A private Celebration of Life will be held in Phoenix.
