Earnest H. Valentine, age 65, born July 17, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois. Passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. USA Veteran. Resident of Joliet, Illinois for almost 40 years.
Preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Valentine; one sister, Barbara Love; and one brother, Karl Valentine.
He is survived by his loving wife, Everree (Kimble) Valentine; one son, Rahsaan (Glenda) Valentine; and one daughter, Felicia Bell; a host of grand and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Charlotte Valentine, Velma Madison, and Willetta (Roy) West; one brother, Charles Valentine; all of Chicago, Illinois.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Paul M.B. Church, 1404 S. Briggs St., Joliet, IL. Service at 10:30 AM, Pastor Edward Martin, Jr., officiating. Interment following at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.

To my family I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ernest, I always liked to hear that he loved my potato salad and he will be greatly missed, I loved his sense of humor and I'm glad I got to share one more bowl of potato salad last year at Aunt Betty's 70th party. I'm thankful he is no longer suffering and I am praying for strength and comfort for the entire family. We have all been touched this year by loss but God is able. I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the services but I will be prayerful. Love you all! May the God of all comfort wrap his loving arms around you all and bring about healing in Jesus name amen!

Everee, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your husband. I pray that God will strengthen you and your family as you grieve. I pray that you will also be comforted knowing that God will not put more on you than you can bear. He will eventually cause the pain to lessen although the void will remain. Even so, the memories will become sweeter. I am praying for you and your family.

Everree, we are so sad to hear of Ernie's passing. Bill really enjoyed seeing you all last summer and he is so glad now that he got that last visit with Ernie. He will sure miss him. Our hearts go out to you and your family at this sad time. Bill McCord and family.
