Elizabeth Gonda Obituary
(nee Thill)
Age 79, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet, IL on June 21, 1929, she most recently resided in Minooka.
Preceded in death by her husband, Peter S. Gonda; an infant son; and her parents, John and Mina (Corrigan) Thill.
Survived by six children, Michael (Linda) Gonda, Patrick (Peggy) Gonda, Kathy Gonda, Peter Gonda, Suzanne Gonda and Jay (Susie) Gonda; seven grandchildren, Kris (Kim) Gonda, Greg (Alicia) Gonda, Nick (Sarah) Gonda, Samantha Gonda (Tim Woodcock), Jake (Brie) Gonda Jessica and Stephanie Gonda; three great-grandchildren, Lukas and Olivia Gonda and Colton Woodcock; six sisters-in-law, Helen (Emil) Siebert, Julie Gonda, Bernadine Gonda, Marge Gonda, Marianne Gonda and Anna Gonda; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 9:30 from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home to St. Mary's Minooka Catholic Church for mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Braidwood, IL. Visitation, Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice in Betty's name would be appreciated.
