Florence Locke Obituary

Florence M. Locke (nee Robertson) Passed away at Fairview Care Center, Sunday, December 13, 2009. Age 91 years. Survived by her daughter Beverly (John) Corzan of Texas, her granddaughter Rose (Joseph) Shamonski of New Lenox and three great-grandchildren Jessica (Jonathan) Vahl, Angela Shamonski and Joe Shamonski. Preceded in death by her husband Willard Nelson Locke (1982). Her parents David and Mary Robertson; three brothers Robert, Clyde and David Robertson. Florence was born in Torino, IL. July 18, 1918. She graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1936 and McCormick Business College. Retired from the Joliet Ammunition Plant where she had worked as a clerk for over twenty years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1557, American Legion Post #1080 and V.F.W. Cantigny Post #367 Ladies Auxillary Funeral service will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Wednesday, December 16 at 10:00 A.M. Rev. Dale Hammond officiating. Entombment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Passages Hospice will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M.
